Dr Susan McSweeney

Dr. Susan McSweeney is a compassionate and dedicated advocate for her patients. With an Advanced Science Degree with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Notre Dame, she brings extensive medical training to her practice. Her passion lies in empowering patients with knowledge, focusing particularly on women's health, sexual health, and reproductive medicine.

Having gained experience in various tertiary hospitals in NSW, Dr. McSweeney discovered her aptitude for women's health during a 6-month senior residency term at the Royal Hospital for Women, where she obtained her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She further solidified her expertise by obtaining a fellowship in General Practice and currently serves as an examiner with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. McSweeney is a qualified IUD inserter, offering services for IUD insertion and replacement, as well as Mona Lisa Touch treatments for genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Her broad scope of practice encompasses family planning, paediatrics, travel medicine, and minor skin procedures. Accredited for antenatal shared care with RPA and Royal North Shore Hospital, she provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages.

 

In her spare time, Dr. McSweeney enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
